METAL CASTING POST

1.Prepare root canal by removing & the gutta percha with Gates & Parapost drills to shape the canals to an appropriate size and depth.

2.The minimum length of the post is two-thirds the length of the root while maintaining 4- 5 mm of gutta-percha at root apex.

3.Impression root canal with silicone.

4.Submit the impression to laboratory for investing & casting in gold alloy.

5.Fix cast post and core with cementing material.

6.Once seated, prepared with diamond instruments to finalize preparation margins and blend the post & core with the tooth surface.

7.Take impression to fabricate crown or bridge as needed.
